The Inland Revenue announced on 24 July 2006 details of the United Kingdom's tax treaty negotiating priorities for the year to 31 March 2007. These are to: - complete work on new treaties with Macedonia, Moldova, Slovenia and Thailand; and on a new protocol to the existing treaty with Switzerland; - progress negotiations on new or revised treaties or protocols with the Cayman Islands, China (People's Rep.), Germany, Hungary, the Faroe Islands and Saudi Arabia; and - hold talks on protocols to existing treaties with Australia, Mexico, New Zealand and South Africa.
