On 24 April 2013, Malta and Russia signed an income tax treaty, in Moscow. Once in force and effective, the new treaty will replace the Malta - Russia Income Tax Treaty (2000). Note: The income tax treaty between Malta and Russia, signed on 15 December 2000, is superseded by the new treaty and will therefore never enter into force.
