On 12 December 2013, Curaçao and the Netherlands signed a tax treaty, in Willemstad. Once in force and effective, the new treaty will replace the Netherlands Income, Capital, Inheritance, Gift, Stamp and Motor Vehicles Tax Treaty (1964).
