The income tax treaty and protocol between Brazil and Peru, signed on 17 February 2006, entered into force on 14 August 2009. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2010. In Brazil, the final step in the ratification process occurred through the enactment of the Executive Decree No. 7.020, published in the Official Gazette of 30 November 2009.
