On 4 May 2023, the Netherlands published the Law of 19 April 2023 for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Cyprus. The treaty, signed 1 June 2021, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force on the last day of the month following the exchange of the ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
