On 13 August 2010, the amendments to tax laws and a bill on sport subsidies were promulgated. The amendments provide that, with effect from 1 January 2011, the annual upper threshold for the application of the lower 10% corporate income tax rate is HUF 500 million. Correspondingly, only the excess over this threshold will be taxed at 19%. Note. The threshold is HUF 250 million in the second half of 2010.
