According to recent reports, officials from Qatar and Zimbabwe met on 7 May 2018 to discuss bilateral cooperation and agreed to the negotiation of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
