The Government of Mauritius has announced that officials from Mauritius and Moldova met on 8 January 2019 to discuss the development of bilateral relations, including plans to launch negotiations for an income tax treaty in the near future. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
