The Government of Iraq has announced the signing of an income tax treaty with Saudi Arabia on 31 March 2021. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the treaty will be published once available. Note - Previous reports indicated that the treaty had been signed on 17 April 2019, although the draft had been initialed (negotiations concluded) on that date.
