According to a 31 May 2024 release from the Peruvian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, officials from China and Peru have completed the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty with the second round to be held in November 2024. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
