According to a release from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Brazil and Lithuania met on 17 July 2018 to discuss the ongoing negotiation of bilateral agreements, including an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
