On 3 September 2014, officials from Macau and Guernsey signed a tax information exchange agreement. The agreement is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions. The agreement will enter into force 30 days after the exchange of the ratification instruments, and will apply from the date of its entry into force for criminal tax matters, and from 1 January of the year following its entry into force for other matters.
