TIEA between Japan and Macau to Enter into Force

On May 22nd, 2014, the tax information exchange agreement between Japan and Macau will enter into force. The agreement was signed on March 13th, 2014, and will apply to all taxes of both countries. The agreement applies only to the geographic area of jurisdiction of the Macau Special Administrative Region. It has no effect for other areas of the People's Republic of China. The agreement will apply for criminal tax matters, regardless of the tax period, from the date of its entry into force, and apply for all other tax matters for tax periods beginning on or after the date...
