The tax information exchange agreement between Italy and Liechtenstein entered into force on 20 December 2016. The agreement, signed 26 February 2015, is the first of its kind between the two countries and applies from the date it was signed. With the entry into force of the exchange agreement, Italy and Liechtenstein are to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty as previously agreed.
