On 22 August 2014, officials from Hong Kong and Sweden signed a tax information exchange agreement. The agreement is the first of  its kind between the two jurisdictions, and is generally in line with the OECD standard for the mutual exchange of tax information. The agreement will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged, and will apply from the date of its entry into force.
