Sweden published Law No. 2021:989 on 8 November 2021, which provides for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Japan. The agreement, signed 11 April 2019, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
