Sweden published Law No. 2023:645 on 9 November 2023, which provides for the ratification of the pending protocol to the 1992 tax treaty with Germany. The protocol, signed 18 January 2023, is the first to amend the treaty. The protocol will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
