According to a recent release from the Seychelles Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, and Trade, the accelerated amortization incentive for investments in software was approved in December 2024. Proposed as part of the National Budget for 2025 (previous coverage), accelerated amortization over a period of three years (down from five years) is provided for investments in software in the digital economy sector for a period of five years. As confirmed in the release, this incentive is at the disposal of any business acquiring software within the period 2025 to 2029.
