According to a release from Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, officials from Moldova and Spain met on 28 August 2018 to discuss the negotiation of a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
