On 2 October 2018, the Ukraine parliament accepted for consideration the draft law for the ratification of the pending protocol to the to the 2001 social security agreement with Lithuania. The protocol, signed 8 December 2017, is the first to amend the agreement and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
