According to a release from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Australia and Lithuania met 15 February 2017 to discuss the conclusion of a social security agreement and an income tax treaty. Any resulting agreements would be the first of their kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
