Romania's Ministry of Finance has announced the formal suspension of the 1993 income and capital tax treaty with Russia with effect from 14 October 2024. Russia suspended the application of certain tax treaty articles with 38 "unfriendly" countries on 8 August 2023, including the treaty with Romania.
