U.S. President Trump has signed two proclamations providing potential relief (exclusions) from quota's imposed on the import of aluminum and steel products. This is particularly relevant in respect of aluminum products imported from Argentina and steel products imported from Argentina, Brazil, and South Korea. Tariffs of 10% on aluminum and 25% on steel were to be introduced in respect of these countries from 1 June 2018, but agreements were reached for quotas instead.
