Officials from Namibia and Qatar met on 28 February 2022 to discuss bilateral issues and investment, including Qatar's interest in negotiating an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
