On 9 July 2008, the United Kingdom ratified the protocol to the income tax treaty between the United Kingdom and New Zeeland signed on 7 November 2007, by Order 2008, SI 2008/1793. Protocol between United Kingdom and New Zealand ratified A New Zealand Order in Council was signed on 28 July 2008 to incorporate the updates to the income tax treaty between New Zealand and UK into New Zealand domestic law. The amendments to the treaty are expected to enter into force in late August or early September 2008
