On 12 March 2018, officials from the Netherlands and Ukraine signed an amending protocol to the 1995 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries. The protocol reportedly implements the latest standards on BEPS and information exchange, and amends certain withholding tax rates, including the removal of the exemption on dividends paid to a company holding at least 50% of the paying company’s capital.
