The amending protocol to the social security agreement between India and the Netherlands will enter into force on 1 March 2018. The protocol, signed 27 June 2017, adds Article 5A (Appliance of the Country of Residence Principle) and amends Article 3 of the agreement's administrative arrangement concerning certificates of coverage. The protocol generally applies from the date of its entry into force, although the agreement will continue to apply as unamended to persons that are in receipt of a benefit on the date of its entry into force.
