A proposal for a Council Implementing Decision has been published that would authorize Latvia's derogation from Article 287 of the VAT Directive (2006/112/EC) regarding its VAT registration (exemption) threshold. The proposed decision, dated 8 April 2024, authorizes Latvia to increase its VAT registration (exemption) threshold from EUR 40,000 to EUR 50,000 with effect from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.
