Poland has dropped a last-minute reservation (potential veto) in regard to the adoption of the proposed directive on ensuring a global minimum level of taxation for multinational groups in the EU (the Pillar 2 global minimum tax). Despite the recent announcement that general agreement had been reached in the 12 December meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper), Poland raised its reservation on 14 December, but this was dropped on the sidelines of the European Council meeting held on 15 December.
