Paraguay's tax authority (SET) has published Decree No. 7575-2022, which provides a special VAT regime for the import and supply of vaccines in the local market for COVID-19. In particular, the Decree provides that the import and supply of COVID-19 vaccines are subject to VAT at a rate of 5% on 10% of the vaccine price (standard tax base). The special VAT regime is effective from 5 August 2022 until 31 October 2022.
