Paraguay has added new value added tax (VAT) exemptions for several goods and services. The newly exempted goods and services include: Petrol and bio fuels Cultural and sport supplies from not-for-profit organizations Electronic and printed books and newspapers Equipment and hardware for schools and universities Trading in shares and foreign currencies IT supplies for the benefit of children Paraguay's standard rate of VAT is 10% and the reduced rate is 5%.
