Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue has issued a notice inviting proposals for the upcoming Budget 2018-19. General areas for which proposals are sought include the following: Improvements in tax laws; Broadening of the tax base; Enhancement of the tax to GDP ratio; Generation in revenue; and Facilitation of taxpayers. Proposals should be sent by 18 January 2018. Budgets are generally presented late May or early June each year.
