The Norwegian Ministry of Finance has proposed the introduction of a new tax obligation on foreign companies and employees that derive income from aquaculture (aquaculture) on the Norwegian continental shelf. A new tax obligation is also proposed on foreign employees that derive income related to mineral activities, exploitation of renewable energy resources (offshore wind), and carbon management on the continental shelf, which follows a tax obligation on foreign companies deriving such income as part of the 2024 budget proposals.
