The Norwegian government has reportedly approved an extension of the reduced VAT rate provided in response to COVID-19 for passenger transport, overnight accommodation, public broadcasting, and access to cinemas, museums, amusement parks, and sporting events. Previously scheduled to expire 1 July 2021, the reduction in the rate for such supplies from 12% to 6% is now extended to 1 October 2021.
