According to a release from the Uzbekistan National News Agency, officials from Lithuania and Uzbekistan met on 8 May 2018 to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the negotiation of a new income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, would replace the 2002 tax treaty between the two countries.
