On 18 June 2020, Morocco's Social Security Fund (Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale, CNSS) announced that a general amnesty will be provided for all outstanding social security contributions due prior to 1 June 2020 as part of COVID-19 relief. This includes that all penalties and surcharges on outstanding contributions will be waived, provided that the principal contributions are paid. A decree will be issued to set out the terms of the amnesty, including the possibility of paying outstanding contributions in installments.
