On 13 November 2024, Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers approved the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2003 tax treaty with the Slovak Republic. The protocol is the first to amend the treaty and includes changes to bring the treaty in line with BEPS and other OECD standards, such as the standards for information exchange. It will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
