On 20 November 2024, Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers approved the ratification of the new social security agreement with Italy. The agreement, signed 31 October 2024, will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 2021 social security agreement between the two countries.
