Moldova published Decree No. 1676 of 3 December 2024 in the Official Gazette on 5 December 2024, which promulgates the law for the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2003 tax treaty with the Slovak Republic. The protocol is the first to amend the treaty and includes changes to bring the treaty in line with BEPS and other OECD standards, such as the standards for information exchange. It will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
