Mauritius is reportedly providing a waiver of late penalties and interest for taxpayers that are unable to submit returns or make payments of tax due to the lockdown implemented in response to COVID-19, which was implemented on 23 March recently extended to 4 May 2020. A VAT exemption is also being provided on hand sanitizers and protective masks with effect from 24 March 2020.
