The Mauritius Revenue Authority has issued a notice to employers on the minimum and maximum basic wage for the calculation of National Pensions Fund (NPF) and National Savings Fund (NSF) contributions. This includes a table providing the minimum and maximum for different pay periods. For monthly periods, the minimum basic wage for contributions is MUR 1,820 and MUR 2,875 for private household employees and other employees, respectively, and the maximum basic wage for contributions is MUR 18,740 for all employees. The minimum and maximum basic wages for NPS and NSF contributions are effective from 1 July 2019.
