On 23 March 2021, the Maldives parliament (People's Majlis) approved for ratification the: Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, as amended; Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (CRS MCAA); and Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on The Exchange of Country-By-Country Reports (CbC MCAA). The Maldives must now deposit the ratification instruments to bring the agreements into force.
