According to recent reports, a majority of EU Member States now support the introduction of public Country-by-Country (CbC) reporting requirements in the EU, with a vote on the matter to be taken at an upcoming Council of Ministers meeting scheduled for 25 February 2021. The introduction of public CbC reporting has been debated, and blocked, for several years, with the majority support reportedly secured after a recent working party meeting held in January to discuss a consolidated compromise proposal for the introduction of the requirements.
