On 18 November 2019, Macau published Chief Executive Notice No. 177/2019 in the Official Gazette, which authorizes the Secretary for Economy and Finance to represent Macau in the signing of an income tax arrangement with Hong Kong. The arrangement will be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
