Luxembourg has published the Law of 1 August 2018 in the Official Gazette to transpose Council Directive (EU) 2016/2258 of 6 December 2016 into domestic law. The Directive amended the administrative cooperation Directive (Directive 2011/16/EU) with respect to tax authority access to beneficial ownership information in the EU under anti-money laundering rules. The law also makes related amendments to the laws on CbC report and CRS exchange. The law entered into force on 10 August 2018.
