According to recent reports, officials from Lithuania and Malaysia met virtually on 8 December 2020 to discuss bilateral cooperation, including Lithuania's interest in signing an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
