On 7 July 2020, the Liechtenstein government approved for ratification the pending income and capital tax treaty with the Netherlands. The treaty, signed 3 June 2020, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the last day of the month following the month in which the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
