On 4 February 2021, the Latvian Parliament (Saeima) approved for ratification the pending social security agreement with Guernsey. The agreement, signed 23 September 2020, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
