On 13 July 2024, the Kuwait Council of Ministers approved the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates. The treaty, signed 11 February 2024, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
