On 25 November 2014, the Italian parliament approved for ratification the pending tax information exchange agreement with Gibraltar. The agreement, signed 2 October 2012, is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and is line with the OECD standard for information exchange. The agreement will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from that date.
